About Flock Together

Flock Together is a POC-led nature-based community and cultural platform reimagining how people engage with the outdoors, creativity, and each other. Conceived by Ollie Olanipekun, Flock Together is a Community Interest Company that brings together walking, conversation, art, food, and collective experience to create space for connection, learning, and joy.

Working across artists, communities, brands, and institutions, Flock Together creates projects that sit at the intersection of culture and ecology—ranging from large-scale public walks and site-responsive programming, to artist-led commissions, dinners, talks, and installations.

Who we’re looking for

A fundraiser. A connector. A builder of relationships that make ambitious cultural and equity work possible.

We’re looking for someone who can work closely with the Founder to identify, pursue, and convert the opportunities that will sustain and scale Flock Together’s mission and impact.

Someone who understands that the right partnership doesn’t just fund the work, it shapes it.

This role exists to grow the ecosystem around Flock Together. Broadly, that means securing the resources, collaborators, and belief needed to deliver projects that bring people, culture, and nature into deeper connection.

Through your ability to seek out and support the relationships that matter most, you will help secure:

  • Income-generating relationships with trusts, foundations, and philanthropists
  • Institutional collaborations with museums, galleries, and public bodies
  • Brand partnerships that commission artists and fuel programming
  • Long-term funding that supports access, equity, participation, and experimentation
  • A growing network of advocates, supporters, and cultural allies

What you’ll get

Responsibility. Autonomy. Purpose.

You’ll be working in a small, fast-moving organisation where ideas can quickly become reality.

There’s no heavy hierarchy or bureaucracy, just a shared commitment to building something meaningful.

You’ll work directly with the Founder, helping shape projects from early conversations through to delivery.

This could include:

  • Artist-led walks, performances, and site-responsive commissions
  • Cultural programmes in gardens, landscapes, and public spaces
  • Brand collaborations commissioning new creative work
  • Institutional partnerships reimagining how audiences experience art and nature
  • Foundation-supported programmes expanding access to the outdoors

You’ll have the freedom to experiment, build relationships in your own way, and help define the future of the organisation.

Flexible working is part of the culture.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with the Founder, you’ll get Flock Together in front of the right people and help turn those conversations into lasting support.

Income Generation & Partnerships

You’ll work across the full funding landscape: trusts & foundations, philanthropy, institutional partnerships, and aligned commercial collaborations.

You’ll be as comfortable writing a major funding proposal as you are sitting across from a partner shaping a new idea together.

You’ll help secure significant support by:

  • Building and managing a strong, evolving funding pipeline
  • Developing and refining our case for support
  • Writing grant applications, proposals, and partnership decks
  • Prospecting new foundations and supporters
  • Supporting pitches, meetings, and strategic conversations
  • Converting strategic conversations into meaningful investments
  • Stewarding relationships so partners stay engaged long-term
  • Manage funding agreements and reporting requirements, including narrative and financial reporting

Project & Collaboration Development & Management

This role isn’t just about raising money, it’s about helping bring projects to life.

You’ll also work closely with the team to:

  • Help in the co-design of partnerships and projects that feel creatively and culturally meaningful
  • Support the development of artist commissions and cultural activations in green spaces and institutions
  • Help coordination of projects with artists, partners, and producers
  • Help manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables of projects
  • Lead on evaluation, reporting and communication with funders
  • Lead on the documentation and storytelling of projects through case studies and partner reports, including gathering evidence to demonstrate impact, learning, and reach

Who you are

You might describe yourself as:

  • A fundraiser with strong equity, cultural and creative instincts
  • A collaborator who understands how to build strategic mission-aligned partnerships
  • Experienced in working with communities to co-design and co-deliver creative projects
  • A natural relationship builder
  • Someone who can move comfortably between artists, funders, and brands
  • Organised, proactive, and thoughtful

You know how to build trust. You know how to listen. You know how to turn belief into backing.

You’re motivated by culture, community, and creating opportunities for people to connect with nature and each other.

Experience

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Proven track record in UK charity, social enterprise, or community sector fundraising, including trusts, foundations, statutory funding, and corporate partnerships.
  • Proven track record of developing, managing, and stewarding strategic partnerships.
  • Strong bid writing and proposal development skills, with demonstrable success in securing funding.
  • Experience supporting project design and overseeing delivery against funding requirements.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of grants, contracts, or corporate partnerships simultaneously.

Desirable

  • Proven track record of securing funding for creative, equity-focused and/or people of colour-led events or projects
  • Experience working in a people of colour-led organisation or directly with people of colour to co-produce projects and partnerships
  • Experience supporting co-produced programme design and early-stage delivery.

Why this role matters

Flock Together exists to create space for connection, creativity, and new ways of experiencing the natural world.

To do that sustainably, we need someone who can help build the partnerships and support systems around the work.

Someone who understands that funding isn’t separate from the mission. It’s part of how the mission grows.

If you’re excited by working closely with a founder, shaping ambitious projects, and building relationships that make meaningful work possible we’d love to hear from you.
