British outdoor brand, Berghaus, turned to the Flock Together community to direct, shoot and star in their new autumn/winter ’20 campaign.
Nature is a playground and admission is free. That is the message of Berghaus's autumn/winter '20 campaign, which documents a group of friends making the switch from city to country.
Nature provides escapism, refuge and a pure sense of joy that is matched by nothing else. For too long green spaces have lacked the presence of non-white faces. A fundamental part of the Flock Together mission is to ensure that scenes like these become the norm and not the exception.
The campaign was directed and conceived by Flock Together founder, Ollie Olanipekun, and links up with other creative talent from the Flock Together community.
Since its origins in 1960s Newcastle, Berghaus has been an innovator in the field of outdoor clothing and equipment. With this campaign they are also showing a front-footed approach to social issues that should be applauded.
Reversing the historic underrepresentation of black and brown people in outdoor sports and spaces will be a long journey, but this campaign represents another strong step forward.
